Slowly reviewing these relatively long84 Dylan shows, enjoying and replaying them before writing. The biggest progress has been in building out the collection of covers for the various show recordings, and especially in incorporating the series of all 27 tour recordings by "Fendert" with his show notes and text files included with some of the alternate recordings.

Dylan attracts many obsessive tapers, collectors and analysts, so it is a well-documented Mick Taylor tour as a result. The depth of information collection and analysis by the Dylan fan community is humbling to someone who is primarily a Stones fan first and foremost. Well done, folks.

The holidays are upon us and 2025 beckons.

By arrangement with the former MickTaylor.com website (which launched in 1995 and ran through 2002), we have thus far identified and posted on GimmeMT.com 70 fan postings containing "Eyewitness Reports" of Mick Taylor shows.

The reviews are placed in their appropriate show threads to become part of the comprehensive historical and musical record we are building.

They are really fun to read -- contemporaneously written perspectives from a wide variety of Mick Taylor fans about what they had witnessed. These Eyewitness Reports not only provide fascinating information that cannot be gleaned from audio recordings alone, they vividly bring back memories of what it was like to attend live music in those venues, in those years.

Most of these can be found for shows in the years 1999-2001. A quick way to find all of these Eyewitness Reports is to click on the GimmeMT . . . Everything about Every Mick Taylor Live Performance Ever, by Fans for Fans Icon Posts link for user orig-mt-site

.

We are thrilled to save them from being permanently lost into the ether, and we will continue to discover and preserve this type of information from the former MickTaylor.com site as well as any other Mick Taylor or Rolling Stones-related websites that wish to contribute material.

I am happy to report that we now have almost 150 reviews or eyewitness accounts of shows added. We have identified and added postings made to sw5 (The Mick Taylor mailing list), which was spun out as an addition to the former MickTaylor.com web site. sw5 continued to operate until 2017, ten years after its parent ceased activity, providing additional scope of these historical fan contributions.

All of the eyewitness accounts added were selected for adding something to our collective memory about the performances. On one extreme, they are very detailed song by song reviews, and on the other may merely be a reliable confirmation that a show actually happened (helpful, for example, where a recording or setlist has never surfaced).

So far, over 50,000 words of these eyewitness accounts have been identified and added.

A great leap has been achieved in the number of shows for which Collectors' Information collect has been posted. We now have 726 shows covered with fan-created covers, a textfile, both or sometimes neither (but indicating that the show was offered online without them).

There are over 2000 cover images hosted onsite, most taken from the files included with the recordings themselves (and standardized to a width of 600 pixels).

Relevant materials added from the former MickTaylor.com and sw5 mailing list now stand at 152.
